How can you tell if a Versace handbag is authentic?
Purchased a Versace handbag from a lady today who said she use to sell them, but is getting out of the business. Looks authentic, but not sure how to tell if it really is or not. I got a super good deal, so it is making me think it might be a fake, but would like to know just to know.

if you bought it with the handles wraped in plastic then it is definately fake. High end designers DONT do that. But she obviously could have taken the plastic off. also, look on the bag for a dangling piece of leather. a tag, anything. (its not REAL leather. its man made) that is also a sign that a bag is fake. Take a look at the Versace tag dangling from the handbag. An AUTHENTIC bag will have the official Versace tag. The Official Versace Tag is made of smooth black heavy-stock material (like super fine cardboard). The tag is Black and EMBOSSED with Gold Versace Lettering. When you feel the tag, you’ll be able to feel where the lettering is because you’ll feel the indentation. The Versace Wording is stamped into it - NOT JUST PRINTED ON. The string which attaches the tag onto the purse should also be black and the little plastic tag that attaches the string to the purse should be black too with the word “Versace” written on it. When the tag is opened, you’ll see a white piece of paper with back wording which is your “Certificate of Authenticity”.
