What is the best way to sew in a lining for a knitted handbag?
I am trying to line a knitted handbag I made, but the stitching is showing through, what is the best way to do this?

Well, the best way is to use a lining and thread that coordinates with the color of the yarn you used. Generally you knit the bag, felt it if it is a felted bag, cut the lining pieces and seam the bottom to the sides if necessary, using what is known as a French seam ( sew the wrong sides together, then fold the right sides together and seam a second seam that encloses the first seam), fold and iron a half inch hem around the top opening and hand stitch it to the opening in the handbag with thread that matches the color of the yarn or with invisible thread, using small stitches and either overcasting or hem stitching it

Sewing the lining is the best way, If you have a sewing machine even better. Your want to secure the lining at the top and the lining needs to be strong enough to take abuse especially if the bag will be used a lot. I have many store bought bags with ripped lining because they were made with thin stuff.
